reflections graduation dessert table

As students begin to graduate this month and move on from kindergarten to first grade, high school to college or college to the work force it's always a time to reflect on what they have learned and how they have grown.  I was asked to do a dessert table for a Kindergarten Graduation Party and this year the theme was Reflections; during their program they 'reflected' on all the many things the children learned over the year: reading, writing, math, memorizing all of the presidents names and so many more, huge accomplishments!
The color scheme was royal blue, white and silver and we used mirrors throughout. To make the table more playful I used a polka dot back drop and echoed the pattern with silver ball filled vases, and cake pops popping out of silver vases. I made kid favorite cereal treats, cake pops and meringue cookies. And to honor each student; a graduation cap with each of the graduates names topped the treats. The graduates were so thrilled to see the dessert table created just for their special evening and even more thrilled to have their fill of goodies!
